MOTS-C — research peptide vial, third-party tested

MOTS-C

From AED 750.00

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded within the 12S rRNA (MT-RNR1) region of mitochondrial DNA. It has been studied as an activator of AMPK and for its role in glucose handling, insulin sensitivity and exercise-linked metabolism. Supplied as a ready-to-use multi-dose injector pen containing 32 mg, for research and laboratory use only.

Most peptides studied in this field are encoded by nuclear DNA. MOTS-c belongs to a small group encoded within the mitochondrial genome itself, which is why the literature treats mitochondrial-derived peptides as a distinct class.

Every batch is HPLC-verified by an independent laboratory. Certificates of Analysis are published on the product page as each batch is verified — ask us if you need the report for a specific batch. Store at 2–8 °C in the dark — refrigerated, not frozen.

Every batch is tested by an independent lab

MOTS-C is analysed by HPLC through Janoshik Analytical — an independent laboratory, not our own. Certificates of Analysis are published on the product page as each batch is verified — this one is still being processed. If you need the report for a specific batch before ordering, ask us and we will get it to you.

  • Independently assayed

HPLC analysis by a third-party lab, per batch.

  • Batch-traceable

The COA identifies the specific batch you receive.

  • Available on request

Why it matters.

01

Written in the mitochondria.

A 16-amino-acid peptide encoded inside the 12S rRNA (MT-RNR1) region of mitochondrial DNA — not the nuclear genome.

02

Independently tested.

Each batch verified by a third-party lab. Report linked above.

03

Multi-dose pen.

Supplied in a ready-to-use, dial-a-dose injector pen. Sealed, labelled and batch-traceable.

How it works

Three receptors. One molecule.

01 / 03

AMPK activation

MOTS-c has been studied as an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase, a central sensor of cellular energy balance.

02 / 03

Metabolic signalling

Investigated for its role in glucose handling and insulin sensitivity in cell and animal models.

03 / 03

Exercise-linked expression

Endogenous MOTS-c rises with exercise in skeletal muscle and circulation, prompting research into it as an exercise-mimetic.
